TJ FUNK, based in Houston, has been entertaining live music fans across Texas for
over 20 years. Packing a solid rhythm combined with an explosive three piece horn
section, this band is definitely a force to be reckoned with. They are without a doubt,
one of the premier party bands in the Houston area.
This band has it all: they have assembled some of Houston’s finest musicians and together have
created a sound and an energy creating excitement not recently seen for a large group. The
band not only plays, they perform on stage to the amazement of their audience. Moving and
dancing on stage while providing non-stop dance music.
The power, the push, and the presentation is designed to inject continuous rhythm and funk
for their listening audience, which is their one and only goal when
they step on stage.
The TJ Funk band is complete: popular funk and R&B, tejano, rock and
roll, big band, and Latin music, for those willing to acquire the taste. Only a band
with a repertoire this well equipped can pour on the groove with enough firepower to keep the
crowd begging for more. No matter your musical taste, or your musical need, the band is
prepared to cater to your musical preference and you will not be able to dispute the quality
of the product.
Lead Singer, Jesse Casas is known for his powerful voice. Chris Casas with his
soulful lead vocal drives the group with his solid bass lines. Ronnie Casas plays
keyboard and contributes with his vocals.
Jeff Alvarado delivers solid work on the drums while David Gallego provides strong guitar play
to complete the section.
The band would not be complete without the "TJF Horn Section".
Josh Olivarez plays alto and tenor saxophones while providing back-up vocals, Jason Whiteman
plays tenor and baritone saxophones and Henry Delgado fills out the section
on trumpet. Jessica Casas adds the elegance of her voice on back-up vocals.

Come forward and take the TJ Funk challenge.
